Moulding from most competitors is either particle board (MDF) or plastic. Our frames are 100% real wood, and then painted with 20 coats of paint. Particle board and plastic eventually starts to warp, especially in sunlight and heat. After a few months of hanging on the wall, you will notice your picture frame isn't straight against the wall. Our frames won't do that.

If you buy a poster frame from a competitor, the glazing will most likely be polystyrene. It looks fine for disposable clear plastic cups but, it may look as though it is popping out of a picture frame and will turn gray or yellow in a matter of months. Like ours, most professional frame shops will use real crystal clear acrylic such as plexiglass. This costs us almost 6 times the price of polystyrene, but after viewing the results we believe it is well worth it.

Poster frames from most competitors have a corrugated cardboard backing. This works fine for cardboard boxes, but in picture frames it turns the poster brown. This is due to all the acid filled in the cardboard. We only use the highest quality of ACID-FREE foam board material.

Most competitors do not customize frames for your poster. Many posters vary slightly in size and need to be individually measured. We cut all of our own wood moulding so we are able to customize each frame to your poster.
